As I mentioned in my previous post about clickbank, there are 10,000 vendor and 110,000 affiliates so these huge amounts of action needs to keep track of, in order to successfully create an effective and easy to use affiliate system, Because of these reason ,Clickbank has been created special links known as “Hoplinks.”
When you insert your hoplinks to your site that transfer hits from your website to the website of the vendor (Product owner website) .
When forward the hits to vendor page that records the affiliate cookie into the buyer’s computer.
Of course that I need to explain what is cookies and how cookies work here.
A cookie is a very small information codes that is stored on your computer by a webpage that
you have visited. The code consist of information that who you are. Affiliate programs use
cookies to identify to buyer to credit with commission from any sale to affiliate.
Clickbank cookie that is stored on your computer remain active for 30 days If the customer purchase the item within 30 days ,affiliates can still receive the commision.
Hoplink format as shown below;
http://AFFILIATE.VENDOR.hop.clickbank.net- Affiliate = Your ClickBank “nickname” / user ID = promoter
- Vendor = The vendor’s ClickBank “nickname” / user ID = seller
http://promoter.seller.hop.clickbank.net/
For example when you insert link above(This is example ) on you affiliate website and any buyer
click,on this link. Your site will forwarded buyer to vendor’s website and cookie will be placed to
buyer computer.
