Types of link

We make an overview of the different types of links with its pros & vs.

  1. Social bookmarking
  2. Reciprocal link exchange
  3. Inclusion in directories
  4. Creating Articles
  5. Blog comments
  6. Create resources web 2.0 and blogs
  7. Press releases
  8. Profiling
  9. Paid links or incentives
  10. Social media
  11. Use the sites "questions and answers"

1. Social bookmarking

HOW TO DO: You insert your link in social bookmarking sites, like Digg , Stumbleupon , Reddit and many others; There are lists of sites to date, just google social bookmarking and the like.
ADVANTAGES: Quick and easy to do manually, also using an automated tool such as a bookmarking demon software . Not only entries become a link in one way, but are also a great way to get links, pages indexed by Google and to position potential "linkbait".
DISADVANTAGES: Link to the low level, more and more devalued and often not well seen by the robots of Google. Even larger sites like Digg now insert the nofollow tag or redirect the links in order to eliminate any benefit in terms of link building.

2. Exchange reciprocal link

HOW TO DO IT: The link exchanges are organized through the forum , and direct-mail or directory of specialized sites. The principle is the same in all cases, the parties agree to show a link on a website the other. This creates a reciprocal link.
ADVANTAGES: It is easy to build reciprocal links in large volume through a variety of means, including forums and sites to exchange links. Reciprocal links are easier to build between sites within the same market niche, people are happier to concede even a potential rival, if you get something in return of equal value.
DISADVANTAGES: The excessive reciprocal linking is expressly mentioned in the guidelines of google webmaster as something that is tried and actively penalized . The value of a reciprocal link is now far lower than that of a one-way link, but the time and the effort needed to build one is roughly the same, if not higher. Very easy to abuse and of little advantage. I consider it an old-fashioned method and use only niche sites, suppliers or customers.
